Where it is used
Turn and Shape Corners
p. 8- Fold the hem allowance to the wrong side, then use a thick needle to gently shape the corners. Press the corners flat.

Pattern Preparation & Cutting
p. 4- Cut out the required pieces from both the main fabric and the lining according to the pattern. Mark all notches and reference points by making 3mm snips through all fabric layers, keeping everything symmetrical. Add notches at the center front and back as well. Transfer all darts and markings.

Cutting and Marking
p. 3- Cut strictly following the direction of the knit columns (or nap). Mark all notches on the pattern pieces using tailor's chalk or temporary basting threads to ensure even alignment during assembly.

Cutting corner notches
p. 13- Cut notches at a 45-degree angle, stopping just before the guide marks. 1 mm away from the marks.

Mark notches on the center back seam
p. 6- From the top edge of the back pieces, measure 1.2 cm along the center seam and mark your notches.

Notch Armhole Curves
p. 4- At the curves of the armhole, make perpendicular notches, stopping 0.2–0.3 cm short of the stitching line.

Notch Back Neckline
p. 9- Along the back neckline edge, make perpendicular notches, stopping 0.2–0.3 cm short of the stitching line.

Notching Neckline Allowance
p. 11- Trim, stopping 3-4 cm short of the center back (as shown in the photo). Place clips/notches on the allowance, stopping 0.2 cm short of the stitching line.

Cutting Out Pieces
p. 6- Cut out the pieces using the pattern. Transfer all “control marks” onto the fabric. Make small notches on the seam allowances through all layers, keeping them symmetrical. Each notch should be 3mm deep.

Attaching Facing - Notching Curves
