A versatile sewing machine used for straight stitching, zigzag stitching, and topstitching.
Where it is used
21. Sew sleeve-side seams
p. 10- Sew and serge the sleeve-side seams together using a 4-thread overlock machine (or sew with a regular sewing machine first, then finish the edges with a standard 3-thread overlock).

Sewing the Front Seam
p. 2- Align the contour edges on the front pieces. Sew a permanent seam up to the beginning of the opening, secure the stitch, and then continue with a basting stitch using a wide thread.

Sewing Center Back and Vent
p. 20- Align the center back edges. Stitch the back pieces together up to the start of the vent, then continue the seam along the top edge of the vent. Finish stitching, stopping 1 cm before reaching the edge. Make a small snip at the corner of the seam allowance on the right back piece only. Press the seam allowances open, and then press the vent toward the left back piece.

Stitching the Decorative Fly Topstitch
p. 36- Stitch along the marked line from the top edge of the pants, stopping 1.0–1.5 cm before the center seam, folding the facing to the inside. Secure the end with a backstitch.

Finishing and Hemming
p. 11- Sew on a hook or button. Try on the pants and adjust the length if needed. Finish the raw edges at the bottom of each leg. Press the hem allowance, then either sew a straight stitch close to the edge by machine, or hem by hand using invisible stitches.
