Thread chain

A flexible, hand-crocheted loop of thread used to loosely connect the lining hem to the outer coat hem.

Turn the coat right side out and close the remaining opening by hand stitching. Sew the facing to the hem allowance using a thread chain. Create a loose loop with a second thread, then secure it with knots all along the length.
