Shoulder seam stabilization
The process of applying fusible interfacing to the back shoulder seam to prevent stretching.
Where it is used
1. Prevent stretching of the shoulder seam
p. 6- To prevent stretching of the shoulder seam: Attach a strip of fusible interfacing on the knit base, 0.5 cm wide and equal to the length of the shoulder seam, to the back shoulder seam edge.
1. Fusing
p. 5- Attach a 1.0 cm wide strip of fusible interfacing to the shoulder seam of the back piece on the wrong side.
