Where it is used
Marking Attachment Line
p. 6- Mark the waistband attachment line with a fine line. The marking should run exactly along the pressed seam allowance.

Attaching Waistband to Skirt
p. 6- Join the waistband to the skirt. Place the right side of the waistband against the wrong side of the skirt (as shown in the photo). Pin in place. Machine stitch along the marked line, using backstitches at the beginning and end of the seam. Press. Unfold the waistband and skirt. Press the seam allowance toward the waistband, neatly tucking it between the top and bottom layers of the waistband.

Assembling Neckline Facing
p. 3- Join the neckline facing into a loop: place the piece right sides together, align the short edges, and pin in place. Stitch on the machine using a 0.7 cm seam allowance, backstitching to secure. Press, then press the seam allowances open to opposite sides.

Pinning Facing to Neckline
p. 3- Place the neckline facing and the top right sides together, matching along the neckline edge. Pin, aligning the notches; match the facing seam to the center-back notch on the top. The collar sits between the facing and the top.

Serging Neckline Facing
p. 3- Serge the facing into the neckline on the overlock. You can sew from either side. Press the seam.

Basting Neckline Facing
p. 4- Turn the facing to the wrong side of the top, rolling it slightly to the inside. Fold the raw edge of the facing to the inside so it covers the serger stitching, then hand-baste. Sew 0.2 cm from the edge of the facing.

Stitching Neckline Facing
p. 4- Stitch the facing on the machine, sewing from the right side along the basting line. Backstitch at the beginning and end of the seam. Remove the basting thread and check the stitching quality from the wrong side; the binding edge must be caught in the seam along the entire length. Press lightly with an iron.

Pinning Facing to Waistband
p. 9- Fold the facing right sides together with the waistband edge of the pants. Pin the short edges of the facing to the seam allowances of the side seam and to the zipper tape.

Aligning Facing with Waist Edge
p. 10- Place the facing right sides together, aligning it with the waist edge of the pants and matching the notches and seams.

Attaching waistband to garment
p. 16- Attach the waistband to the garment using an overlock stitch. Wrap the waistband around the lower edge of the garment, right sides facing each other. Align the waistband seam with the left side seam. Match the notches and secure with pins. Even out the edges, then sew along the waistband edge on the overlock, gently stretching the waistband to match the length of the bottom edge. Press the waistband seam, pressing the allowances toward the garment. Topstitch the seam at 0.5 cm.

Facing Preparation - Shoulder Seams
p. 12- Stitch the shoulder seams of the front and back facing together. Allow a seam allowance of 1.0 cm.

Facing Preparation - Side Edges
p. 13- Stitch the side edges of the front and back facings together with a 1.0 cm seam allowance.
