Where it is used
1. Preparing the Front Panel: Step 1.1
p. 3- Sew a double gathering stitch along the neckline edge of the front piece, following the notches and markings on the pattern. Place the first row of stitching 0.8 cm from the neckline edge, and the second row 2 mm closer to the edge from the first row.

1. Preparing the Front Panel: Step 1.2
p. 3- Sew a double gathering stitch along the bottom edge of the front panel, following the notches and markings on the pattern piece. The first stitch should be placed 0.8 cm from the edge, and the second stitch 2 mm away from the first, closer to the edge.

Preparing the Upper Front Section
p. 7- Gather the bottom edge of the front upper piece. Between the two marks that show where to start and end the gathering, sew two rows of long, loose stitches, about 7 mm and 13 mm from the edge. Leave the thread ends loose. Pull gently on the lower threads to gather the fabric to match the pattern size. Spread the gathers evenly.

Sew Gathering Rows
p. 6- Sew 2 parallel rows of stitching along the top edge of the lower pieces to create gathers. Stitch the first row 0.5 cm from the edge and the second row 0.7 cm from the edge. Use a long stitch length; do not backstitch at the beginning or end, and leave thread tails.

Gather Lower Pieces
p. 7- At the same time, pull on the lower bobbin threads and gather to the amount shown on the paper pattern. The gathering length on the back piece is given in full. On the front pieces, the gathering length is marked from the side seam to the notch on the front edge line. Tie off the thread tails.
