Interfacing - Reinforcing Facings

  1. To reinforce the facing, cut two facing pieces from fusible interfacing. Attach the interfacing to the facing, then press along the fold line.

Interfacing - Duplicating Facings

  1. Duplicate all facing pieces completely. The easiest way to do this is to fuse the entire piece of fabric meant for the facings with interfacing first, then cut out the facing pieces from the fused fabric.

Sewing - Back Panel Darts

  1. Pin and sew the darts on the back panel of the skirt.

  1. Press the darts first along the edge, then iron them toward the center seam.

  1. Pin the facing of the front panel along the vertical edge to the underlap/underfacing (podbort) and stitch with a seam allowance of 1 cm. Along the vertical edge of the underlap/underfacing, press the 1 cm allowance to the wrong side.
