Basting Bodice Pieces
- Align the bodice pieces along the seams, matching up the notches. Baste them together and try it on. Adjust the fit if needed.

Copying Details and Interfacing

Measuring Boning Length
- Step back 1.5 cm from the top and bottom edges of the seams and make your marks. The segment between the marks is the length needed for the boning for each seam.

Attaching Boning
- Prepare the necessary lengths of boning. IMPORTANT! The ends of the boning can be melted or covered with bias tape. You can also seal them with paper tape, depending on your fabric. Stitch the boning onto the seam allowances.

Sewing Skirt Darts
- Sew the darts on the skirt pieces for the front and back, and press them toward the center.

Assembling Skirt Side Seams
- Align the side edges of the front and back skirt pieces, with the right sides facing each other. Sew the side seams and press the allowances open.

- Press the hem allowance at the bottom of the skirt.

Joining Bodice and Skirt
- Join the bodice and the skirt at the waistline, right sides together. Match the side seams, curves, and darts, and clip at the front center. Stitch the seam, then press the allowance upwards.

Positioning the Zipper
- Attach the zipper to the front side of the back piece. The top stop of the zipper teeth should be placed 1 cm below the top edge of the bodice. Mark the waist seam and the end of the zipper on the fabric as a guide notch.

Sewing the Zipper
- Pin or baste the zipper in place. Use a special invisible zipper foot to sew one side of the zipper first, then the other. Make sure the markings on the zipper and the edges align properly.

Finishing Back Seam
- Finish the back seam from the end of the zipper down to the bottom edge. Bend the end of the zipper to the side and start sewing from the backstitch at the zipper seam. For convenience, it's recommended to use a single-sided foot. Press the seam allowances open.

Attaching Facing to Dress
- Align the edges of the facing and the dress, right sides together. Join the side seams and attach the facing.

Preparing Facing
- Match the edges of the facing pieces, placing them right sides together. Sew the seam and press the allowances open. Serge or zigzag the outer (lower) edge of the finished facing.

Finishing Facing Ends
- Fold the ends of the facing inward, press, and hand sew them in place.

Trimming Facing Seams
- Trim the corners of the seam allowances on the side seams of the facing. Make small cuts on the allowances along the back and curved areas, stopping 1-2mm before the stitching.
