Assembling Neckline Facing
- Join the neckline facing into a loop: place the piece right sides together, align the short edges, and pin in place. Stitch on the machine using a 0.7 cm seam allowance, backstitching to secure. Press, then press the seam allowances open to opposite sides.

Stitching Neckline Facing
- Stitch the facing on the machine, sewing from the right side along the basting line. Backstitch at the beginning and end of the seam. Remove the basting thread and check the stitching quality from the wrong side; the binding edge must be caught in the seam along the entire length. Press lightly with an iron.

Preparing Hems
- Re-press the hem folds at the bottom of the top and the sleeves. Secure the seam allowances with a line of stitching using a twin needle or a coverstitch machine. You can also secure the seam allowances by stitching a zigzag with a frequency of 2-3 and a width of 3.5. Steps for finishing hems with a twin needle or a coverstitch machine: baste the seam allowances in place, sewing with contrasting thread and stitching 1 mm in from the edge of the allowance.

- Tuck the overlock thread tails between the knit layers using a needle or a small crochet hook.

Setting in Sleeves
- Place the sleeve pieces and the top right sides together, matching along the armhole. Don't mix up the right and left sleeves—use the notches/control points as your guide. Pin from the top side. Attach the sleeves on the serger. Stitch from the top side. Press, then press the seam allowances toward the sleeve.

Twin-Needle Hemming
- Sew a seam with a twin needle on the machine. Stitch from the right side of the top. Where the stitching meets to form the circle, add a backstitch to secure it. As you sew, use the hand basting as your guide—the basting stitches should run exactly between the two needles. Press.
